Maren focuses her practice on natural resources and public lands law with an emphasis on the exploration, permitting and production of oil and gas. Maren’s primary focus is conducting complex title examinations and preparing drilling, lease acquisitions and division order opinions for fee, Federal, State and Indian lands in Oklahoma, Utah, North Dakota, New Mexico, and Montana. Maren also assists clients with drafting and negotiating real property related instruments.
Prior to joining Lear & Lear in 2011, Maren practiced an array of litigation matters involving complex commercial litigation and general civil litigation. Maren’s background includes civil litigation, real property law, contract drafting and negotiating, family law, contract disputes, and resolving disputes through settlement conferences, arbitration, mediation, and bench trials. Maren also represented family law clients in the area of alimony, custody, termination of parental rights, and related divorce matters.
