Brett joined Lear & Lear, PLLC shortly after he graduated from the S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2013.
Brett’s practice focuses on counseling renewable energy clients in a variety of real estate and due diligence matters related to siting, developing, and financing utility-scale solar, wind, and geothermal projects.
Brett’s experience includes: drafting, reviewing, and negotiating site control documents such as leases, amendments, and easements; reviewing, managing, and curing defects in title policies and ALTA surveys; drafting third party agreements, including crossing agreements, licenses, and rights-of-way; and conducting general real estate due diligence related to project development and financing.
Additionally, Brett provides a variety of client services for oil and gas developers, including title review and drafting title opinions and representing developers before administrative and regulatory agencies such as the Utah Board of Oil Gas and Mining related to forced pooling hearings, spacing hearings, and other various requests before the Board.
When not working, Brett enjoys all activities in the Wasatch Mountains and spending time with his family.
