Debie’s practice focuses on issues related to the development of energy and mineral resources on federal and private lands. 

Debie counsels major domestic companies regarding development and operations on federally-managed lands, including oil & gas and geothermal resources. She advises property owner and developer clients regularly on alternative energy facility development, including obtaining regulatory approvals, interconnection and other siting issues for solar PV, geothermal, and oil and gas. She frequently negotiates transactional documents in support of renewable energy project finance and development.

Debie guides clients through all the processes of leasing federal lands, from extending the lease, apply for unit agreements and participating areas.  She has assisted clients with applications for right of ways on federal lands and knows her way around a plat.
